SQL Star targets SME segment

SQL Star International Ltd is planning to open 40 learning centres either on its own or through the franchisee mode in a year's span across the country.
 
The company, which is targeting domestic small and medium enterprises (SME) segment, has plans to expand its network to tier II and tier III cities.
 
According to company's CMD N R Ganti, SQL currently has eight learning centres educating 10,000 students per year. On an average, the per student realisation is about Rs 13,000 and the company's business turnover is over Rs 12 crore annually.
 
SQL's chief executive officer Narendra Shukla, told mediapersons here on Thursday that the company's growth areas would be SME enterprise services, embedded solutions and strategic resourcing.
 
The company has wholly-owned subsidiaries in the US, UK and Singapore and Raj Ganti, former director of systems engineering at Qualcom Inc, would take charge of SQL's US operations, he said.
