Sundaram Infotech to hire 500

Sundaram Infotech Solutions (SIS), the IT arm of Sundaram Finance Ltd, which focuses primarily on the financial services and manufacturing verticals, is in the process of hiring over 500 professionals to increase its headcount in Chennai to over 750 employees.

The company has a 50,000 sq ft software development facility in Chennai. SIS has also struck a partnership with To Increase, a Dutch IT solutions company, to market the latter's industry-specific ERP solution in India.

To Increase recently launched its product, an ERP add-on to Microsoft's Dynamics Ax, which addresses the industrial equipment manufacturing vertical, in India. The solution has been implemented in manufacturing organisations in Europe and the Americas.

SIS said that it would target discrete manufacturing companies in India with the ERP solution of To Increase. SIS will take care of the end-to-end project management for the solution implementation to Indian customers.

J Raghunathan, vice-president and head of marketing, SIS said, "Our solid expertise in Microsoft Dynamics Ax, especially in the discrete manufacturing space, immensely helped us clinch this partnership with To Increase."

The Dutch company has also chosen SIS's facility in Chennai for a 2-phase training programme by To Increase's solution specialists, for its global partners from the US, Europe and APAC regions.

SIS is a partner of Microsoft Dynamics Ax, the ERP solution from the Microsoft stables, in India.
