"The online engine as well as its mobile version are currently in the alpha stage and will be up and running by the first week of June," Arun Varma, founder and chief executive officer of SyncRooms, told Business Standard on the sidelines of the Nasscom Product Conclave 2014 in Hyderabad on Thursday.
The hotel booking engine comes with a payment gateway for guests to make payments online besides making it easier for the property owners to analyse booking patterns and for financial records. The tool was integrated with Facebook and other social websites where hoteliers can create their property profiles and share their deals and promotions.
"The product was developed in consultation with 300 customers, of which 70 have already given us letters of intent. While we plan to charge Rs 1,000 per month from a domestic hospitality property, we are working out the modalities for overseas clients in Malaysia, the Philippines and London," Varma said.
The self-funded company, started in early 2013, is expecting to get to the angel funding level by June. It plans to raise anywhere between Rs 3 crore and Rs 5 crore, which would be utilised for scaling up its sales force in India and building associate network overseas, he added.
