Tata Tele launches 'Tamil voice station'

Tata Teleservices today announced the launch of comprehensive 'Tamil Voice Station' for Tata Indicom subscribers in Tamil Nadu.
 
The 'Tamil Voice Station' is a multi-access entertainment voice portal on Tata Indicom mobile and Walky, which offers a content in the arena of movies named Rajni zone, Trisha zone, Vivek zone, Tamil slokas, poems of Bhartiyar, ringtones and jokes. The charge of using this value added service is Rs 6 per minute.
 
Addressing mediapersons, M A Madhusudan, chief operating officer- Tamil Nadu and Kerala, Tata Teleservices, said, "In India, value-added services are still in a nascent stage and account only for five per cent while in advanced countries like the US and Europe, it's contributions to revenues are about 25 per cent."
 
Tata Teleservices offers integrated telecom solutions to its customers under the Tata Indicom brand and uses CDMA 3GIX technology for its wireless network. The company has a customer base of over 4.2 million subscribers.
