Tata Teleservices today said it has added about 3.9 million subscribers in November, making it the highest subscriber grosser for four consecutive months.

"We have been able to add highest number of subscribers for four consecutive months. The subscriber additions are close to the previous month's level of 3.9 million," TTSL Managing Director Anil Sardana told reporters here.

TTSL, whose record subscriber addition is due to its pay per second tariff that unleashed fierce competition in the market, said the lower tariff schemes had not impacted revenues adversely.

"Our revenues and our earnings out of this will make our EBIDTA (Earnings Before Interest Tax Depreciation Amortisation) positive in several circles in the shortest possible time," he said.

Tata Tele launched its GSM services early this year under the brand Tata DoCoMo.

The company has so far launched GSM mobile services in 15 circles and is planning to add another three circles by March next year.

Asked whether TTSL started the tariff war, Sardana said "I dont want to say that we have cut tariffs. I think we have only provided the tariffs that the customers wanted.

"...If you say that pay-per-second is what is cutting tariff then you could always charge 5 paise per second. Why do people have to charge what they feel is not viable. I think its just simple fact that they will realise soon enough that they were on the wrong side of the argument."
