CDMA operator Tata Teleservices Ltd will expand its operations in Jammu and Kashmir by the end of November this year. It will be the fourth player in Jammu and Kashmir after BSNL, Bharti Airtel and Dishnet Wireless.
It is also planning to expand its operations in the North East. At present, Tata Teleservices, along with Tata Teleservices (Maharastra) Ltd, operates in more than 6,600 towns across 19 circles including Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh etc.
"By the end of November, we will be launching our operations in Jammu and Kashmir besides North East,” informed T P S Walia, COO, (Punjab), Tata Teleservices. In Punjab, including Chandigarh, the company has a market share of about 10 per cent.
The company has a subscriber base of 1.14 million which includes mobile telephony, fixed telephony and data card users.
