The telecom disputes settlement and appellate tribunal (TDSAT) has reserved its order on the case filed by Bharti for the refund of Rs 135 crore paid by it for acquiring licenses prior to the policy of unified license regime. The lawyers for Bharti completed their arguments today.Sunil Mittal-promoted company approached Tdsat after the government refused to refund the license fee.Bharti said in its plea that the fee paid by it for acquiring telecom circles for offering basic services should be returned as the government itself gave the option to service providers to offer any service under the unified license regime.Department of telecom has maintained that the license fee was "non-refundable'.Even Communications Minister Dayanadhi Maran has gone on record saying that the license fee will not be refunded.
