Thomson to develop research info from HydBS Reporter / Hyderabad March 22, 2007Thomson Corporation, a leading US-based information services company, today announced the launch of the development of scientific research information centred around its Hyderabad operations.Robert D Daleo, executive vice-president and chief financial officer, Thomson Corporation, said about 500 professionals, including scientists, would be recruited in India for building scientific research information and 250 would be deployed in Hyderabad. The company has already acquired its second premises with a seating capacity of 600 in the city enabling it to ramp up the headcount to 700 from the present 100 professionals. Thomson plans to hire 1,000 employees at its Hyderabad global delivery centre (GDC) by 2009 making the city the second major base of the company
