UST Global launches women forum

IT services company UST Global has initiated a forum, NowU (Network of women USsociates), that aims at identification, development and promotion of women talents around the globe.
 
The forum has lined up its first summit on October 18-19 in Thiruvananthapuram, where a major chunk of UST Global's operations take place. The two-day summit is based on the theme 'Work-Life Balance'.
 
"The event will showcase content related to women and business as well as community leadership," according to Tammy Dollar, vice-president - corporate functions, UST Global.
 
Besides, UST Global will bring together leaders from various professional organisations, with the goal of developing relationships and strategies for building effective, collaborative programmes in increase diversity and promote women within the company, Dollar added.
 
Successful women professionals, including Hema Ravichandar (Empower), Dr Pratika Chary (first woman neurosurgeon and neurophysician in India), Kalpana Sharma (chief of bureau, The Hindu, Mumbai ) Sreelekha IPS, Pamela Mathew (managing director, OEN), Bina Paul (first woman film editor and director of the International Film Festivals of Kerala) and Latha Chembarkalam (business head, Bosche, Bangalore) would speak at the event. Speakers from the US include Cindy Andreotti (former president, MCI ) and Tammy Dollar.
 
US Global has centres in India, Asia Pacific and the US and is one of the largest software companies operating out of Kerala, with a major facility at the Thiruvananthapuram Technopark.
