Revenues for the April-June quarter of 2006-07 increased to Rs 3,143 crore, up 39 per cent compared with the corresponding period last year. |

The revenue from the New York Stock Exchange-listed firm's global IT services business was $539.3 million (Rs 2,425 crore), ahead of its guidance of $533 million. |

Wage hikes would have an impact of about 1.5 per cent on Wipro's operating margin in the July-September quarter, Chief Financial Officer Suresh Senapaty said. But billing rates were expected to remain stable, while the company was able to get better prices from new clients, he said. |

The company said global IT services and product revenue grew 42 per cent to Rs 2,451 crore, while the India and Asia business and Wipro Consumer Care and Lighting business recorded 35 per cent and 30 per cent revenue growth year-on-year, respectively. |
