Wipro is "seriously" pursuing an acquisition, and planning to set up a BPO and software services centre in Eastern Europe, chairman Azim Premji said today."Wipro is seriously pursuing and working hard at the proposed acquisition," Premji said at a news conference to announce the company's quarterly results."It would be a small acquisition, but an intelligent one," he said, but declined to elaborate. In one of his rare public comments involving a rival, Premji said his company's organisation structure was "superior" to that of Infosys."I think our structure is superior to the Infosys global delivery model," Premji said in response to a question on how Wipro's organisation structure compared with that of Infosys' global delivery model."Frankly, I have not fully understood the Infosys global delivery model. Also, you must appreciate that Infosys is still struggling in trying to establish a verticalised structure."He, however, said that both structures had their own merits."We are quite clear (about) what we wanted to do. And are confident that we can do.. It's not for me to comment on somebody else's structure," he added.
