The third-largest software exporter Wipro today said it is planning to restructure a part of its Finland operations, a move that could impact some 85 employees.
"Wipro Technologies Oy, the IT services arm of Wipro in Finland, plans to initiate a consultation process with the employee representatives, with the aim of restructuring a part of its Finnish telecom R&D operations to meet changing market and customer needs," Wipro said in a statement today.
The planned negotiation process may impact a maximum of 85 people across four locations in Finland, including Rovaniemi, Kokkola, Pori and Oulu, it added.
Wipro employs a total of 300 people in Finland where it focuses on IT and R&D services.
Operations in Helsinki, Tampere, Turku and Seinäjoki are expected to continue uninterrupted, it added.
