Ganesh Natrajan, deputy chairman and managing director, Zensar said, "We had started working at Shenzhen with the setting up of a software development centre around eight months back. Around 40 people, including locals, are working there for a fashion retailer based in the US. To start with, 1,000 software professionals working in various positions in China would undergo the project training with Zensar. We will start the first batch during March-April this year." |
Natrajan said Chinese software professionals would also attend the classrooms of Zensar in Pune. |
"While we will help them to improve their interactive, communication and negotiation skills, the programme also consists of training them on Oracle and SAP. The programme would be partly funded by the Chinese government and the rest would be taken care of by the local IT industry. We are also looking to enter into other major cities in China, while our next destination would be Japan," he said. |
Zensar would be earning revenues of around Rs 22.50 crore from the first programme. |
Natrajan said: "We have executed a project for a US-based retail major and another significant customer has been a China-based telecom manufacturer. We are looking for broadening our business in that country." |
