Apar Industries Ltd - the provider of products and services for power transmission conductors, petroleum specialities and power cables sectors – is constructing a specialty oils and lubricants plant in the Gulf region. Apar Industries has informed BSE that Singapore-based Petroleum Specialities Pte Ltd, its wholly owned subsidiary, is in the process of setting up a facility in United Arab Emirates (UAE) for the manufacture of a comprehensive range of speciality oils and lubricants. The plant will have facilities to store, blend and process a wide range of speciality oils and lubricants for the power, cosmetics, industrial and automotive verticals.
Apar’s specialty oils business has a production capacity of over 3,50,000 tonnes per annum between its two manufacturing facilities located at Rabale (Navi Mumbai) and Silvassa. The specialty oil business has a wide range of products which falls under five major categories - transformer oils, white oils & liquid paraffins, industrial & automotive oils and lubricants, rubber process oils and ink oils. Apar Industries claims to be the fourth largest manufacturer and marketer of transformer oils globally.
