The Union Government to constitute a task force in a couple of weeks for formulating a fertiliser policy, according to Ananth Kumar, Minister for Chemicals and Fertilizers. The Minister, however, did not mention any time frame for the task force to come out with the proposed policy framework.
He added that the immediate objective was to constitute the team to look into various aspects of the proposed fertiliser policy, which will include bio-fertiliser and micro-nutrients too, and come up with a policy in a few months.
The minister was speaking on the sidelines of IPLEX 14, an international plastics exposition, held in Hyderabad on August 8, 2014.
Ananth Kumar also said that government would consider to establish a plastic park in Telangana. Stating that the Narendra Modi government wanted states to be stronger, he said the Union government would support the development of the newly-formed state of Telangnana.
