Gujarat State Fertilizers plans to set up petrochemical complex in Dahej

GSFC will invest Rs 8000-10000 crores for the new complex

Gujarat State Fertilizers & Chemicals Ltd (GSFC) is planning to set up a petrochemical complex in Dahej (Gujarat) with an estimated investment of Rs 8000-10000 crore. “The company is contemplating to set up the petrochemical complex at Dahej with an estimated capital outlay between Rs 8000 to 10000 Crores. The status of this complex at present is at the feasibility study/DPR as well as search/ selection of technology suppliers," said GSFC in a BSE filing on July 9, 2015.
 
The company has been on a major expansion drive. In January this year, GSFC announced that it will invest Rs 900 crore to set up a 40,000 metric tonne per annum (MTPA) plant for manufacturing melamine, which used for making plastics, fertiliser and crockery products, at Vadodara. The project is expected to be commissioned in the third quarter of FY 2017-18.
