The Wadia Group company National Peroxide Ltd, one of the leading manufacturers of hydrogen peroxide in India, has commenced trial production its Kalyan site (Maharashtra), where it is increasing the capacity from 84,000 tonnes per annum (50% w/w) to 95,000 tonnes per annum (50%w/w). For this, the company had temporarily shut down its Kalyan plant since May 2, 2014. National Peroxide is expected to start commercial production at the plant very soon.

In an interview with B2B Connect in October last year, Suhas R Lohokare, the Managing Director of National Peroxide Ltd, had informed about the plan to increasing the plant capacity to 95,000 tonne in 2014. He had also hinted, during the interview, at raising the capacity further by another 30% over the next few years.
