Sanjeev Gandhi, head of BASF’s Intermediates division, has been appointed to the Board of Executive Directors effective December 1, 2014. He will replace Dr Andreas Kreimeyer (59), who will retire with the expiration of his contract following the Annual Shareholders’ Meeting on April 30, 2015.
Sanjeev Gandhi has been President of Intermediates Division of BASF SE since August 31, 2010. Prior to that, he served as Senior Vice President of Petrochemicals for Asia Pacific - BASF South East Asia at BASF SE.
Gandhi has studied chemical engineering at the Pune University of Pune, India, where he received his Bachelor of Engineering (Chemical) in 1989, followed by a Masters in Business Administration (Marketing) in 1991.
In his new role, Sanjeev Gandhi will be responsible for Greater China & Asia Pacific; South & East Asia, ASEAN and ANZ.
