Altem Technologies, one of the leading players in 3D printing technology and product lifecycle management (PLM) solutions in India, stepped up its presence in the 3D arena with the expansion of its product portfolio with Artec 3D scanners.
The Luxembourg-based Artec Group develops and manufactures 3D scanners that analyse real-world objects and gather data on shapes, which is then used to create a 3D physical replica. Artec offers the only handheld scanners that are lightweight, precise, and able to capture objects quickly, in high resolution and vibrant colour. Altem Technologies will be reselling both product lines from Artec, namely Eva and Spider 3D scanner models.
“With inclusion of Artec 3D scanners to our existing Dassault Systemes’ PLM solutions and Stratasys 3D printers product portfolio, Altem becomes the only organisation in India to offer complete 360 3D solutions for modelling, 3D scanning and 3D printing. In fact one can have a complete 3D experience at our demo center in our Bangalore headquarters,” said Srinivas Shastry, Director (Technical), Altem Technologies.
“This addition brings in a great synergy to our product portfolio. The recent trends in the industry show that 3D scanning is continually improving and there is a huge demand for 3D scanning. With services like reverse engineering, rapid prototyping and quality inspection, 3D scanning makes it suitable for usage in almost every vertical. The enhanced efficiency, affordability, faster & accurate results are some of the advantages & offerings of this technology,” said Prasad Rodagi, Founder - Director, Altem Technologies.
Artec scanners provides fast, accurate scanning in colour and requires no markers or calibration. It digitises objects quickly in high resolution and vivid colours, offering almost unlimited application possibilities. Globally, 3D scanners are widely used in automotive, aerospace, electronics, medical, media & entertainment, heritage preservation, archaeological and various other engineering R&D entities.
