DFM Foods Ltd, the maker of Crax corn rings, has enhanced the production capacity at its Greater Noida facility by about 25 percent to meet the growing demands for packaged snacks. “The brownfield expansion of capacity at the company’s Greater Noida facility has been completed and commissioned. With this expansion, the total capacity of the company has increased from 20308 metric tonne (MT) per annum to 25308 MT per annum,” said DFM Foods in a BSE filing on December 16, 2015.
The company manufactures corn rings and wheat puffs, marketed under the Crax and Natkhat brands, at its two facilities in Ghaziabad and Greater Noida. DFM Foods, which has strong presence in North India, has been expanding its distribution network in states such as West Bengal, Odisha and Jharkhand.
In January 2014, WestBridge Capital Partners reportedly picked up nearly 25 per cent stake in DFM Foods from its promoters for about Rs 64.5 crore.
