TI Cycles of India (TII), a part of the Murugappa Group, has inaugurated bicycle manufacturing facility at Rajpura, Punjab. Built with an investment of Rs 105 crore, the plant has installed capacity of 2.5 lakh bicycles per month. The facility will cater to the growing demand in the North and East Indian markets.

The new plant at Rajpura will further enhance the company's ability to bring in innovative new products to cater to changing consumer needs.

"We already have a factory manufacturing tubes in Mohali (Punjab) which is running successfully. This plant will cater to the demand of bicycles in the North and Eastern parts of India," said M M Murugappan, chairman, TII and vice chairman, Murugappa Group.

TI Cycles manufacturers and markets cycles under four brands - BSA, Hercules, Montra and Mach City.
