GMP Technical Solutions Pvt Ltd, a subsidiary of Vascon Engineers Ltd that manufactures clean room partitioning systems, has expanded its Bhiwandi (Thane, Maharashtra) facility by inaugurating the third manufacturing plant at the site to meet fast growing requirements of business.

Built on an area of around 60,000 sq ft, the new plant will offer sheet metal fabrication and modern coating facility. The annual capacity of the new plant will be 20,00,000 sq ft panel & 36,000 steel doors. Strategically this plant will help GMP Technical to boost its business in export market & western/south Indian region. 

GMP Technical, which recorded revenues of Rs 243 crore in in FY15, has manufacturing facilities at Bhiwandi and Baddi (Himachal Pradesh). The company provides turnkey solution for clean room partitioning systems which are widely used in pharmaceuticals (oncology, sterile, OSD, injectible, R&D labs, API, biopharmaceuticals etc), hospitals and solar panels (photovoltaic cells).

The current clean room market size in India is estimated at Rs 1500 crore, in which GMP Technical claims to have approximately 7 percent market share. While clean room partitioning systems are extensively in pharma and healthcare industry, demand is also expected to get a boost from defence, auto component, semi-conductor and solar sectors.
