RPG Life Sciences buys Sun Pharma's 7 brands for Rs 41 crore

Divested products include brands used for treatment of respiratory-track infections, urological disorders, cardiovascular diseases, etc

RPG Life Sciences Ltd has acquired seven brands of Sun Pharmaceuticals Industries and its subsidiary, for a consideration of Rs 41 crores. “The company today signed an agreement with RPG Life Sciences Ltd to divest seven prescription brands in India, owned by Sun Pharma and its subsidiary, for a consideration of Rs 41 crores,” said Sun Pharma in a press statement.
 
The seven divested products include brands used for treatment of respiratory-track infections, urological disorders, cardiovascular diseases and brands in health supplements segment.
 
The divestment is subject to receipt of Competition Commission of India's (CCI) approval.
