Filatex India Ltd, the polyester filament yarns producer, has begun commercial production of 100 metric tonne per day (mtpd) of polyester fully drawn yarn (FDY) at its existing unit in Dahej (Gujarat). “The company has commenced commercial production for manufacturing 100 mtpd of polyester fully drawn yarn at its existing unit in Dahej from March 4, 2016,” said Filatex in a BSE filing on March 5, 2016.

The remaining machines would be installed in phases and likely to be completed by September 2016.
