Jindal Films to expand BOPP films capacity in Italy

As a part of its investment strategy in Europe, Jindal Films, the US-based subsidiary of Jindal Poly Films Limited and a manufacturer of specialty biaxially oriented polypropylene (BOPP) films, will increase metallising and extrusion capabilities at its Brindisi site in Italy.
 
A 10.5 m orientation line will be installed by Q4, 2016, increasing capacity by more than 50,000 tonnes per year and further improving production flexibility. The metalliser is expected to start-up in Q2, 2016 and will add 10,000 tonnes of metallisation capacity.

We have a wide range of quality products, and continue to focus on expanding our reach with next generation solutions,” said Alessandro Fontanarosa, Brindisi operations director.
