Buoyed by surge in demand from beverage sector, Manushree Technopack Ltd, one of the leading packaging solution providers in India, has reported 73% jump in profit after tax (PAT) to Rs 15.8 crore in Q1 of FY14 compared to Rs 9.13 crore during the same period last year. Sales for Q1 FY14 stood at Rs 169 crore, up by 38% compared to Rs 122.15 crore in Q1 of FY13.
Commenting on the results, Vimal Kedia, MD, Manushree Technopack, said, "It has been a good start for Manushree in the first quarter and the results are as per our expectations. The quarter has been a steady growth in sales with the beverage sector doing extremely. We have witnessed a significant spike in our profits as compared to last year."
He added, "The continued upsurge in demand from the beverage and packaged drinking water segment alongside our increased exposure to new verticals like dairy, pharma and liquor has helped us achieve consistent growth. Manjushree's entrench into international markets will further boost our performance in the coming quarters."
