Quantum Plastics Llc on March 14, 2016 acquired 3D Plastics Inc, an injection and blow mould plastic manufacturer. This acquisition reflects Quantum Plastics’ ongoing focus on expanding its North American footprint while breaking into new manufacturing industries.
 
3D is an ISO 9001:2008 certified injection moulding and blow moulding facility located in Gladewater, Texas. 3D’s injection and blow moulding machines manufacture plastic parts for the automotive, food and beverage, and firearm industries. Most notably, 3D moulds seatbelt parts and firearm ammunition components.

3D Plastics follows Quantum Plastics’ acquisition of Master Molded Products in 2014; River Bend Industries, Hospitec USA and Apollo Plastics in 2015; and Transfer Solutions in 2016. With the addition of 3D Plastics, Quantum Plastics now boasts approximately 240 moulding machines and over 200 years of moulding experience.
