Supreme Industries, one of the leading plastic processors in India, has reported disruption of production activity at its plastic piping system manufacturing units in Maharashtra. In a BSE filing, Supreme Industries Ltd said that the permanent workers of the company at its Jalgaon units (2 Nos) and Gadegaon Unit in the state of Maharashtra have stopped entry of contract workmen inside the company premises with effect from September 28, 2014 thereby affecting all loading, unloading and ancillary activities.
Supreme Industries has stated that this has adversely affected dispatches of goods to customers and production at these units which are engaged into manufacture of plastic piping system. The company’s two other units at Malanpur (MP) and Kanpur Dehat (UP) - manufacturing similar range of products – are running smoothly.
Supreme Industries is considered to be one of the leading manufacturers of plastic piping products in India. The current product portfolio of Supreme comprises around 6,000 different types of pipes and fittings which are used for civil construction and infrastructure.
