VHCL Industries bags Rs 32 cr export order for recycled plastic granules

The company is also evaluating a proposal of stake sale to a strategic investor

VHCL Industries Ltd, a company involved in plastic recycling, has received an exports order worth Rs 32.5 crore from a large trading house to supply 4300 MT of compounded recycled plastic granules over a period of nine months, starting July 2015. “The trading house deals predominantly in metals and othet commodities and is keen to diversify to plastic. The successful completion of this order may lead to regular business from this trading house,” said VHCL in a press release.
 
VHCL Industries, one of the leading players in the field of plastic recycling in India, has a manufacturing unit located at Union Territory of Dadra & Nagar Haveli. While the company has been predominately supplying recycled polymers to domestic market, it is now focusing on exports to enhance its business performance. “These forays into new territories are in line with the management target of improving the company’s performance in the current financial year,” added the release.
 
VHCL is also looking at selling a part of its stake to a strategic investor for further expanding its business.
 
The company is the largest producer of high performance compounded recycled plastic granules which are utilised for various end use markets. The granules are designed to enhance the performance of its end use products, while helping reduce cost by reusing unwanted plastic scrap.
