It was in no time that Saladbaba grew Ambrosia – The Organic Farm, tenfolds and raised its valuation from just 10 lakhs To 50 Crores. Janardan Khorate, aka Saladbaba got his name after he took over Ambrosia in 2008 from a foreign couple who were operating it before. Janardan considers them as their second parents and why not, they have given them the gift of his life, Ambrosia – India’s first organic company.
Ambrosia, which is a bootstrap company is flying its wings like never before. Starting with just rice cakes, they are a way forward with everything and have a planned and set strategy to make it big. They are launching the ever exciting and awaited organic products in March 2023 which are going to be a big game changer in the food industry. The products are Corn Cakes, Blueberry Butter Rice Cakes, and Honey Rice Cakes. The only non-monetary backup Ambrosia has got is from The Goa Guardians which acts as a legal advisor to Ambrosia. Goa Guardians is the best legal firm of Goa run by Mrs Janavi Khorate. Women Empowerment is the whole sole aim of The Goa Guardians.
These products are on the rise in the Organic Industry and Ambrosia will be the first Organic Company in India to launch them. Janardan and Ambrosia already have a bagful of title and awards under their belt and now this is surely their best foot forward. The recent recognition being from The Times Of India as they recognized Ambrosia as Iconic Organic Food Of The Year for three consecutive years – 2019, 2020 and 2021. Topping the charts for three consecutive years is a great achievement! In 2019 itself, Ambrosia was India’s First Organic Fitness Food Manufacturer.
In 2018, Ambrosia became India’s First Fruit-Flavored Peanut Butter Manufacturer and in 2017, Ambrosia was regarded as the Rising Brand In Asia. The awards and title were not only for Ambrosia, but also were for the making man behind it – Saladbaba. Saladbaba was awarded as India’s Youngest Organic Farmer in 2015 and was awarded the Entrepreneur Of The Year in 2016.
Achievements were big for Janardan but to do something great for the farming sector was always his dream. When he was small, he saw his parents struggling and working out of their skin to earn bread and how they took care of young Janardan. Since then he decided that the story of his life will be written with hardwork and dedication and would go in favour of farming. Today 20% of Ambrosia’s profit goes to the education sector facilitating children under the families of fellow organic farmers.
