Bizgurukul founder Ritwiz Tiwari was bitten by the entrepreneurial bug a bit earlier than most. His experiments in college life made him a great marketer and gave rise to his observing skills. Amidst Covid 19, the world has witnessed a paradigm shift. ‘Work from home’ is a new normal. EdTech has emerged as an alternative form of education in 2020. Parallel to this, two other curious minds- Rohit Sharma and Keshave Lal; shared a common vision as Ritwiz to create a ‘learning by doing’ entrepreneurship platform for ambitious minds who are ready to pe into the unconventional digital space of business.

“Education in India has been shy to join hands with business”

Either there is only knowledge or a complex system for business where demand of common middle-class people never intersects. Hence, there is no equilibrium between what people study and how living is made. The future of education is hybrid. Digital learning combined with personal mentorship is the USP of this bootstrapped start-up which is not only making the finest skill-based education available but also providing a platform to the youth for utilising those skills and becoming financially better. Taking the phrase – ‘Bring home the bacon’ literally, Bizgurukul wants every household in India to have at least one income source out of all the gadgets used just for entertainment. Covid has taken the pace of digitalisation to 10x. Understanding this fact, Bizgurukul has an objective to provide world class knowledge and skills via online courses and live training sessions which is designed in a way that would help in creating a strong human capital.

In a short period, the Bizgurukul platform has reached over 30000 students across every major city in India subscribing to various courses in less than 1 year. Keeping in mind the demography of India and the potential of the country’s youth force who are ready for opportunities, they have targeted and opened up in tier 2 cities thus helping bring an inclusive growth in the field of education in India.

Well-designed courses of Bizgurukul like that of the Personal Mentorship Program with leading industry mentors, Unique curriculum which focus on imparting professional skills and life skills through practical training, played the key differentiators in today's highly competitive market which anchored the platform’s rapid growth resulting with thousands of online course users.

Other than this, Bizgurukul affiliate program has been the talk of the town at the moment. Several inpiduals from persified backgrounds got benefited through the program as a result of which they were able to disburse a pay-out of over INR 7.5 CRORE to the associates through an affiliate program which is a cornerstone of their gain share strategy and philosophy of partner in growth.

At present, India houses the largest population in the world, consisting of 845 million people in the age group of 16-65, among which more than 500 million are below the age of 35. India has a large concentration of working professionals who benefit from EdTech platforms. Also, there were 504 million regular internet users in India in November 2019 and this increased by 47 million people from 2020 to 2021 January. This number has further increased over the first quarter of 2021. Access to the internet automatically gives rise to the demand for the right education to even the remote regions in our country. Not surprisingly, India's online education market is set to grow by $14.3 billion between 2020 and 2024, witnessing an annual growth of over 21% during this period. To all the challenges that the Indian education system is facing, EdTech has a solution, says KPMG. The trend grew stronger as technological advancements unleashed the creative aspirations of educators, entrepreneurs, and visionaries. The EdTech sector is a mirror of the future in our hands, where the youth are the majority stakeholders of its transformative power.

Bizgurukul celebrated its one-year anniversary on 24th March 2021 and the founders made a new vow of transforming the bootstrapped start-up into a family of 1 lakh users before they turn two. Co-founder, Rohit Sharma says, “The adoption of inventive ways to teach and train will chart the course of modern learning environments in the years to come. People can acquire new skills and learn from experts from the comfort of their homes. Professionals can easily balance work with their learning aspirations in a highly competitive environment.”

In coming months Bizgurukul will be launching new skill development courses which will in-turn boost up their number of online users and also contribute to fulfilling the Prime Minister’s objective of building a SKILLED INDIA.

EdTech has been the toast of the start-up world this year. The pandemic has provided favourable tailwinds for EdTech start-ups to grow, and Bizgurukul aims to reach its one million users by 2025.

The revolution has begun, and surely in the coming years Bizgurukul will be one of the emerging players in the EdTech market.
