For decades movies have been playing an increasingly important role in people's lives. Movies affect humans so powerfully because they reflect the culture and the change, showcase heartwarming stories, teach suitable lessons, and even stimulate economic growth. The impact of visuals, music, dialogue, lighting, sound, and special effects, when combined, can evoke strong emotions in many individuals and encourage them to think about their life. They can aid in understanding their own lives, the lives of others around them, and the workings of society. Keeping the same thought in mind, Schbang Motion Pictures, with the support of Finolex Industries, produced the short film 'Pralhad'.
Based on Finolex founder Late Shri Pralhad P. Chhabria's autobiography There's No Such Thing as a Self-Made Man, the film shows the story of a young boy who, in his teenage years, had to leave his hometown, Amritsar, after his father's death. The boy who in future became the founder of one of India's biggest companies, Finolex, left his home only with INR 10 in his pocket. During his journey, young Pralhad observes how each of the passengers is just like him in some way or the other. The movie walks the audience through the struggles that the Late Shri Pralhad P. Chhabria faced on his journey to the city of dreams, 'Mumbai' and even after that.
One of the most significant lessons shown in the movie is how throughout his journey, Late Shri Pralhad P. Chhabria conducted himself with dignity, kindness and humanity. Even after achieving great heights, he never forgot his roots, which was why even after his demise, he had a special place in people's hearts. The movie 'Pralhad' was released on the YouTube channel' Humara Movie' on September 1, 2022. Ritvik Sahore portrayed the role of the late Shri Pralhad P. Chhabria. Chinamay Das, Aabid Shamim, and Annapurna Soni were few of the supporting cast. The movie has already won accolades at 22 international and Indian film festivals, including the Moscow International Film Festival, Prague International Film Festival, and London Film and Television Festival.
Sharing his point of view about the film, Mr Prakash P. Chhabria, son of Late Shri. Pralhad Chhabria says, "One of the biggest reasons we decided to make the film was to bring a ray of hope for people, especially budding entrepreneurs. With Pralhad, we want to pass this message that it is okay to start from scratch and it is completely okay to fail. No matter what may come, one should never stop putting effort and working towards their goal. Late Shri Pralhad P. Chhabria started his journey with just INR 10, and with his hard work, he built a company worth INR 10,000 crores. If he can do it, then you can too; just never give up."
Founded by the late Shri Pralhad P. Chhabria, Finolex Industries Limited has been India's leading PVC pipes and fittings producer for more than 40 years. Along with receiving ISO 9001:2015 certifications at all of its facilities, the business has also gained the respect and loyalty of its clients. Apart from being successful in building an empire, the late Shri Pralhad P. Chhabria also did much philanthropic work. All aspects of the journey have been beautifully showcased in Pralhad under the direction of Sayan Mukherjee.
