Guru Disciple relationship - A silent expression of companionship.

 

He alone, who is self-realized, and is being commanded by God to redeem souls, is a real guru. One cannot be a true guru simply by claiming or thinking that he is.

Like a Jasmine sends its waves of fragrance to the one who comes into its arena, similarly real guru's aura sends a spiritual wave that draws attention of many towards him.

Moreover, a true guru always credits his guru or God from all his works. God only speaks through him. He is the giver of everlasting bliss to all beings.

He is not an ordinary spiritual teacher but the one who attained the completeness and possesses the qualification of leading us to the same destination. He has the interest of taking disciple to the state of perfection that is devoid of egoism. No matter whichever the path he guides, will eventually take you to the world of stillness.

The Guru - Disciple relationship is a majestic, and a loftiest relationship based on the Guru’s unconditional love for the disciple and loyal spiritual endeavour by the disciple in the path of attaining his true nature. It bears no taint of selfish considerations. It is an eternal contact backed up by reverence, faith, and loyalty in a way to reach God.

In this relationship, the disciple pledges his life to the guru, and the guru showers the grace of divine love on the disciple. To be faithful to his words is the only and surest way of reaching God. Our life is a like dark forest which is filled with herbs of deviations. It requires a guide to take us out of the darkness.

When my guru, Shirdi Sai baba, came into my life, the darkness vanished and the divine brightness illuminated in me. He guided me to attain the state of inner consciousness. I listened to him and saved many incarnations. He is a grand master. My heart is showered in his aura of divine love. Through his oneness, he is aware of me and keeps watching me with constant love and protection.

One may have many teachers in his or her lifetime, but one must be loyal to a God blessed guru and get spiritually fulfilled under his guidance throughout his or her life. A true guru is not here to delude, de facto he is here to take you out of the woods.
