IPL 2024 DC vs SRH Highlights: Head, Natarajan shine in huge 67-run Hyderabad win

Indian Premier League 2024 Delhi Capitals vs Sunrisers Hyderabad highlights: SRH moved to the second spot in the points table as they beat hosts Delhi by 67 runs at the Arun Jaitley Stadium

Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) registered a huge 67-run win against the Rishabh Pant-led Delhi Capitals (DC) at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in match 35 of the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024, on Saturday, April 20, 2024.

Thanks to this win, SRH reached the second spot in the points table. Chasing 267 to win, Delhi were given a brisk start by Jake Fraser-McGurk who hit the joint-fastest fifty in IPL off just 14 balls. However, apart from him, no other Delhio batter threatened to reach the target as the whole team bundled out for 199 in 19.1 overs. 

Earlier, asked to bat first, Hyderabad went on a rampage, scoring 125 in the first six overs. Kuldeep Yadav (four) and Axar Patel (one) took quick wickets to try and destabilise the innings. However,  fifty from Shabaz Ahmed (59*) added to the great show from Abhishek Sharma (46) and Travis Head (88) to take the side to the fourth-highest score in IPL's history- 266/7. 

DC won the toss and decided to bowl first. Ishant Sharma, who performed brilliantly in the two matches leading up to this one, has been ruled out with a back spasm and Anrich Nortje has been called in to replace him. Lalit Yadav, the spin-bowling all-rounder has replaced Sumit Kumar the fast-bowling all-rounder.

Pat Cummins on the other hand informed that there have been no changes in the Hyderabad playing 11 and if any, an impact player bowler might be the only change that could be expected in the second innings.

Sunrisers Hyderabad have registered a huge win here as Rishabh Pant becomes the last man to walk back home as he is caught at deep fine leg by Natarajan off Nitish Reddy. Capitals are all-out for 199 and the Sunrisers have won the game by 67 runs.
