How many points are needed to make it to playoffs?
Since the IPL became a 10-team, the four teams, which made it to the playoffs, need to attain at least 16 points.
From IPL 2018 to 2021, the fourth team to make it to the playoffs typically had 14 points. But the inclusion of two more teams since IPL 2022, made it difficult for the teams attaining less than 16 points on the IPL team rankings to book a place in last four.
