RCB skipper Smriti Mandhana won the toss and decided to bowl first.
It was a must-win game for the RCB and they made no changes to their playing 11 from the match against Delhi Capitals where they fell short by just a single run. Mumbai made a forced change as Yastika Bhatia was injured therefore Priyanka Bala found a place in the playing 11.
