"Some players got fever in the past few days and most of them have fully recovered from it. Those who are in the stage of recovery remain under the team medical panel's observation,” the Pakistan Cricket Board said in a statement.
The EPNCricinfo reported that several of the Pakistani players did not attend the optional training session at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Tuesday, October 17, 2023. The Pakistani players have Wednesday and Thursday to recover as they have a game to win on Friday against an Australian side that tasted their first-ever victory against Sri Lanka on Monday, October 16.

None of the players have been diagnosed with dengue and that would mean they can recover fast. Pakistan had won their first two games against Sri Lanka and the Netherlands before being handed a crushing defeat by India.
