Vishnu Deo Sai's name was announced as the Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh on Sunday afternoon after a key meeting of the BJP's newly-elected 54 MLAs in the state was held in Raipur
He is the fourth chief minister of Chhattisgarh state, which was created in the year 2000
Vishnu Deo Sai, a prominent tribal face of the saffron outfit in the state, was on Sunday elected as the legislature party leader at a meeting attended by all the 54 newly-elected BJP MLAs
In the Chhattisgarh Assembly elections 2023, Sai won the polls from the Kunkuri Assembly seat in Jashpur district

Outgoing Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel on Sunday congratulated Vishnu Deo Sai on being elected as the leader of the BJP's legislative party in the state.

Union Home Minister and senior BJP leader Amit Shah had urged voters to elect Sai, promising to make the latter a 'big man' if the party comes back to power in the state
