Narendra Modi, who was trailing in early trend, won from Varanasi with a margin of over 150,000 votes.
Amit Shah, Home Minister in the previous NDA government, won from Gandhinagar. Another minister, Anurag Thakur won from Hamirpur with a margin of over 180,000 votes.
Smriti Irani, Minister of Women and Child Development since 2019 and Minister of Minority Affairs, lost from Amethi against Kishori Lal with a margin of over 167,000 votes.
Arjun Munda, the Minister of Tribal Affairs and Minister of Agriculture and Farmers' Welfare in the Second Modi government, is now trailing from Khunti.
Bhupender Yadav, Union Cabinet Minister of Labour and Employment, Environment, Forest and Climate Change, won from Alwar with a margin of over 48,000 votes.
Nitin Gadkari was also leading from Nagpur.
BJP's minister, Jyotiraditya Scindia won from Guna with a margin of over 540,000 votes. Om Birla, the 17th and current Speaker of the Lok Sabha, won from Kota with a margin of over 41,000 votes.
Rajeev Chandrasekhar, Minister of State for the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology and Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, lost from Thiruvananthapuram against Congress' Shashi Tharoor with a margin of 16,000 votes.
What do trends indicate?
According to trends, NDA is leading on 291 seats and the INDI Alliance is leading on 234 seats. Other parties are leading on 18 seats. To get the majority, a coalition will have to win 272 seats to form the government.
