Live Punjab: Amarinder Singh sworn-in as CM, Sidhu gets Cabinet berth

Punjab Election result LIVE:  After a grand victory in Punjab, Captain Amarinder Singh takes oath as Punjab chief minister at Chandigarh's Raj Bhavan. Nine other ministers including Navjot Singh Sidhu and Akali rebel Manpreet Badal are also expected to be sworn in.

Goa floor test: Meanwhile, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led government in Goa, headed by Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar, will face the crucial floor test on Thursday, as a special Assembly session has been convened for the purpose. Parrikar, who stepped down as defence minister, was sworn-in as the chief minister of the coastal state for the fourth time on Tuesday evening, along with nine ministers.
