Delhi is likely to receive heavy rainfall for the next three days as the weather office issued an 'orange' alert in the national capital on Saturday, the weather office said. Parts of Delhi, including Rohini and Burari, received rains on Saturday morning. According to the Met department, 8.9 mm of rainfall was recorded at Safdarjung, the city's primary weather station, and 12.6 mm at Lodhi Road between 2.30 pm and 5.30 pm on Saturday. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted moderate to heavy rainfall on Saturday, with an even heavier spell anticipated on Sunday and Monday, the weather department said.

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) carried out searches at seven location in Gujarat in the NEET-UG paper leak case, officials said on Saturday. They said the operation began in the morning at the premises of suspects spread across four districts -- Anand, Kheda, Ahmedabad and Godhra, according to a report in PTI.

A political mudslinging followed the tragedy where BJP and Congress blamed each other for the collapse of the structure.
The women's wing of the Bharatiya Janata Party on Friday requested the National Commission for Women to investigate Apple's contract manufacturer after Reuters reported that Apple supplier Foxconn rejects married women from iPhone assembly jobs in the country. "It is imperative to conduct a thorough investigation into these claims and ensure that the rights of women employees at Foxconn Hon Hai are protected," Vanathi Srinivasan, national president of Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) women's wing wrote in a letter to the Commission, posted on X.
