This exam, previously conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA), is pivotal for both teaching positions and PhD admissions. Singh's remarks came in response to inquiries about DU's potential decision to conduct an independent entrance test amidst the controversy surrounding the NTA's UGC NET exam cancellation, which was prompted by concerns raised by the Ministry of Home Affairs on June 19 regarding the exam's integrity.
The rapid rise in water levels in the Bagmati River has led to floodwaters entering hundreds of houses across 18 panchayats in Bihar's Muzaffarpur district.
