GST Council accepted request to reduce tax slab on pencil, sharpener from 18% to 12%: Punjab FM Cheema

New Delhi, Feb 19 (ANI): Speaking on 49th Gst Council Meeting and GST Appellate Tribunal Finance Minister of Punjab Harpal Singh Cheema on February 18 said that GST Council accepted the request to reduce the tax slab of pencil and sharpener from 18% to 12%. However, no decision could be taken in the meeting regarding formation of GST Tribunal. Talking to ANI he said, “He said, “GST Council accepted the request to reduce the tax slab of pencil and sharpener from 18% to 12%. And, no decision could be taken in the meeting regarding the GST Tribunal whether the GST Tribunal should be appointed by the State or the Union.” Speaking on CBI issuing summon to Manish Sisodia for Questioning in Delhi Excise Policy Case he said, “The central agencies on the direction of BJP are conspiring against Delhi’s Deputy CM Manish Sisodia.”
