The defending champions India beat Korea 4-1 in the second semifinal on Monday to reach the record-extending sixth final and will now face China for the ultimate silverware on Tuesday.
India started the game just like every other game by getting an early lead, thanks to Uttam Singh’s 13th-minute goal. Skipper Harmanpreet Singh then scored his sixth goal of the competition in the 19th minute to give India a 2-0 lead.
Jarmanpreet Singh opened the scoring of the second half with his 32nd-minute goal to take the men in blue 3-0 up. Korea made a small comeback with Y Jihun getting his eighth goal of the competition and reducing the scoreline to 3-1. However, Harmanpreet Singh scored yet another goal in the dying minutes of the third quarter to complete his brace and end the game at 4-1, helping India reach yet another Asian Champions Trophy final.

China vs Pakistan semifinal China's hockey team created history on Monday when they beat Pakistan 2-0 in the penalty shoot-out to secure their first-ever Asian Champions Trophy final spot. The hosts opened the scoring with a 13th-minute goal from Lu Yuanlin, but Pakistan levelled things up with Nadeem Ahmed’s 37th-minute goal. Neither team was able to find the decisive goal after that, as the regulation time ended with a scoreline of 1-1.
