A total of 110 class 10 students figure in the top three rank holders list for Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) exam with a difference of one mark each between the three ranks. While four candidates have shared the top rank with 499 marks out of 500, 34 students are at the second spot with 498 mark. Similarly, the third rank has been shared by 72 candidates with 497 marks out of 500. It is a big motivation. Last year, there was no merit list due to the pandemic, I am glad this year they have come up with ranks," Matharu said. The pass percentage in class 10 Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) examination continued to be better than pre-pandemic years with 99.97 per cent of the candidates clearing the exam

The Indian Certificate of Secondary Education (ICSE) announced class 10 results on Sunday, with four students sharing the top rank with a score of 99.8 per cent. The four toppers are -- Hargun Kaur Matharu (Pune), Anika Gupta (Kanpur), Pushkar Tripathi (Balrampur) and Kanishka Mittal (Lucknow). The second rank has been shared by 34 students with a score of 99.6 per cent, while 72 are on the third spot with 99.4 per cent mark. The pass percentage for girls (99.98) is marginally higher than that for boys (99.97). The overall pas percentage was 99.97.

The evaluation process is underway and it is expected that the results will be announced by July 15, reports said.

"The results of the class 10 and class 12 examinations will be declared on Saturday, July 24, at 3 pm," Arathoon said. The board had cancelled the exams for both the classes this year in view of the aggressive second wave of COVID-19. The result will be announced on basis of an alternate assessment policy decided by the board.
