A medical transport jet crashed in Philadelphia on Friday about 30 seconds after taking off, setting homes ablaze, strewing debris and rattling residents after the second air disaster in as many days. BEST bus crash: Arrested driver had no experience of driving EV, say police

The driver of a BEST bus that mowed down seven persons in Kurla area here had no experience of driving electric vehicles (EVs), police said on Tuesday, as he was arrested for 'culpable homicide not amounting to murder.' He had undergone only a ten-day training for driving electric buses, the driver allegedly told police. Attempts made to show teen was not behind wheel, says Pune police chief

Attempts were made to project that the 17-year-old minor who allegedly crashed his Porsche car into a motorbike killing two persons was not at the wheel at the time of the accident, said Pune Police Commissioner Amitesh Kumar on Friday. The city police chief told reporters that an internal inquiry has pointed to lapses on the part of some cops while registering the case and action will be taken against them. Mumbai hoarding crash: Rescue operations underway, toll rises to 16

Nearly 55 hours after a huge illegal hoarding crashed on a petrol pump in Ghatkopar area of Mumbai amid gusting winds and rain, search operations were still underway on Wednesday night and the death toll could rise to 16, officials said. So far, 89 persons have been pulled out from under the collapsed hoarding, of whom 14 were declared dead while 75 others were injured. Two more bodies have been located under the debris, but they were yet to be pulled out, officials said. Of the 74 injured persons, 32 have been discharged from hospitals and 42 are still undergoing treatment. Throughout the day, no person was rescued. At least 21 killed in bus crash in Italian city of Venice, 15 survive

A bus crashed near the Italian city of Venice after falling from an elevated street, killing at least 21 people and injuring others, authorities said. Officials find debris from F-35 fighter jet that crashed in South Carolina

Authorities found a debris field Monday from a Marine Corps F-35 stealth fighter jet that crashed in South Carolina after the pilot ejected and parachuted to safety. Pimpri-Chinchwad crash: Maharashtra govt to pay Rs 3 lakh to kin

Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Tuesday announced a Rs 3 lakh compensation each to the kin of persons who were killed when a huge advertising hoarding collapsed on them in Pimpri-Chinchwad in Pune district, while a case of culpable homicide was lodged by the police in connection with the incident. Five persons, including four women, were killed and three others injured on Monday evening when an iron hoarding crashed on them due to strong winds on a service road in Pimpri-Chinchwad, an industrial town. US officials can travel to China to aid crash investigation

The U.S. government said Tuesday that China has granted visas for federal investigators to travel there and aid in the investigation of the deadly China Eastern Airlines crash.
