Leading fans and residential pump maker Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals expects to cross USD 1 billion sales mark this fiscal and achieve a double-digit revenue growth helped by a new strategy, its MD & CEO Promeet Ghosh said on Thursday. Moreover, the company expects to enter a new segment in the coming years and double its turnover in the next five to six years helped by its Crompton 2.0 vision, he said. Under Crompton 2.0 vision, the company is emphasising on consumer centricity, business growth, and profitability through innovations. Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd on Thursday reported an increase of 26.9 per cent in its consolidated net profit to Rs 128.07 crore in the second quarter ended in September 2024. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 100.87 crore in the July-September quarter a year ago, according to a regulatory filing from Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd (CGCEL). However, its revenue from operations rose by 6.4 per cent to Rs 1,896.01 crore in the quarter under review, from Rs 1,782.27 crore in the same period last year. CGCEL's total expenses rose to Rs 1,742.79 crore in the September quarter of FY25, registering an increase of 4.9 per cent. The total consolidated income of CGCEL stood at Rs 1,913.53 crore in the September quarter, up 6.47 per cent. Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd on Wednesday reported a 3.1 per cent decline in its consolidated net profit to Rs 85.45 crore for the third quarter ended December 2023. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 88.19 crore in the October-December quarter a year ago, Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd (CGCEL) said in a regulatory filing. However, its revenue from operations rose 11.63 per cent to Rs 1,692.69 crore in the quarter under review. It was Rs 1,516.21 crore in the year-ago period. CGCEL's total expenses increased 12.22 per cent to Rs 1,596.90 crore in the December 2023 quarter. The total consolidated income surged 11.17 per cent to Rs 1,709.36 crore. In the December 2023 quarter, CGCEL's revenue from the electric consumer durables segment jumped 18.54 per cent to Rs 1,209.27 crore. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 125.95 crore in the April-June quarter a year ago, Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd (CGCEL) said in a regulatory filing. Its revenue from operations increased marginally to Rs 1,876.85 crore during the quarter under review against Rs 1,862.94 crore in the year-ago period. CGCEL's total expenses were at Rs 1,740.83 crore, up 2.81 per cent in the first quarter of FY 2023-24. Its total income in the June quarter was Rs 1,896.65 crore, up 1.24 per cent. Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd on Friday reported a decline of 25.48 per cent in its consolidated net profit at Rs 131.55 crore in the fourth quarter ended March 2023. The company had posted a net profit of Rs 176.55 crore in the January-March quarter a year ago, Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd (CGCEL) said in a regulatory filing. Its revenue from operations increased 15.7 per cent to Rs 1,790.96 crore during the quarter under review against Rs 1,547.82 crore in the year-ago period. The total expenses in Q4 FY23 surged 21.8 per cent to Rs 1,637.30 from Rs 1,344.18 crore a year ago, the company said. Crompton Greaves Consumer Electricals Ltd (CGCEL) and Butterfly Gandhimathi Appliances have announced a merger to accelerate and smoothen the realisation of synergies of the combined business. This will also simplify corporate and governance structure and convergence of public shareholders of Butterfly at the parent level and align interests for shareholders of both companies, said a joint statement. This would be based on a share swap, it added. "Upon merger, the public shareholders of Butterfly as on the record date will receive 22 equity shares of Crompton for every 5 equity shares held by them in Butterfly, as a consideration for the merger," it said. Post-merger, the public shareholders of Butterfly will hold ~3 per cent stake in the the combined entity, it added.
