Daiichi-Ranbaxy Case

Apart from a forensic audit in the Fortis-IHH deal, the Supreme Court on Thursday also announced a jail term of six months for Malvinder Singh and Shivinder Singh in the Daiichi-Fortis case.

The Supreme Court Thursday directed 17 banks and financial institutions of former Ranbaxy promoters Malvinder and Shivinder Singh to place on record the paperwork related to the loans in question

The HC has been hearing Daiichi's petition seeking the implementation of Rs 3,500 cr Singapore tribunal arbitral award passed in its favour, against former promoters of Fortis Healthcare

The court also restrained RHC Holdings from operating its bank accounts except for payment of salaries and statutory dues till March 23
