Vegetables have started gradually slipping out of consumers' plate due to sharp increase in their prices over the last one month on reduced supply following extended season rains delayed harvesting of new season crop.Green vegetables have become costlier by upto 100 per cent during the last four weeks in both wholesale and retail markets. Not only primary vegetables but also their additives like garlic, ginger and chilly have recorded a sharp increase in their prices which has destabilized common men's kitchen budget.
