AAP supremo Arvind Kejriwal on Wednesday once again ruled out the possibility of an alliance with the Congress for the Delhi assembly polls, amid reports that the two parties could be jointly contesting the elections. In a post on X, Kejriwal said the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will be fighting the election on its own strength in Delhi. "There is no possibility of any alliance with the Congress," the former Delhi chief minister said. The rate of decline of tuberculosis incidence in India has doubled since 2015 and is ahead of the global average, Union Health Minister J P Nadda said on Saturday while inaugurating a nationwide campaign in Haryana's Panchkula to reduce such cases and mortality due to it. The 100-day TB elimination campaign will be implemented in 347 districts of 33 states where the prevalence of the disease is higher. The campaign is focused on enhancing detection, reducing diagnostic delays and improving treatment outcomes. "We will take detection, tests, treatment and supportive strategies forward at a fast pace under this programme," Nadda said. The Union Cabinet approved on Friday the 26.463-km Rithala-Kundli corridor of the Delhi Metro's Phase-IV project that will further enhance connectivity between the national capital and neighbouring Haryana. The entire stretch will comprise 21 stations, all of them elevated. The decision was taken at a Cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Addressing a press conference, Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said the project is scheduled to be completed in four years from the date of its sanction. This line will be an extension of the operational Shaheed Sthal (New Bus Adda)-Rithala (Red Line) corridor and will boost connectivity in the northwestern parts of Delhi, such as Narela, Bawana and parts of Rohini. The completion cost of the project is Rs 6,230 crore.

The Haryana government is actively working on the efforts to provide all the basic amenities in the colonies established under the Mahatma Gandhi Gramin Basti Yojana (MGGBY), Minister Krishan Lal Panwar said in the State Assembly on Tuesday. Regarding the provision of basic amenities such as electricity, water, roads, lanes, and drains in colonies established under the scheme, Panwar assured that the state government is actively working on these efforts. Development and Panchayat Minister Panwar said under this scheme, approximately 4,573 colonies have been established, with basic facilities provided in around 2,250 colonies where settlements have begun. In the past 10 years, a budget of about Rs 320.5 crore has been allocated for this initiative.
